LEBANON: COLONEL GETS DEATH PENALTY FOR SPYING FOR ISRAEL

the Beirut Military Tribunal in Lebanon sentenced a Lebanese Army lieutenant colonel to death for collaborating with Israel during the 2006 July war. Military Investigative Magistrate Riyad Abu-Ghayda also found Lieutenant-Colonel Ghazwan Chahine guilty of possessing illegal arms and explosives, and confidential military documents.
