Louis "Mick" Winkler, 47, will be put to death for killing his estranged wife

Louis "Mick" Winkler, 47, will be put to death for killing his estranged wife while he was awaiting trial on charges he had kidnapped and raped her. On March 6, 2006, the day of Rebekah Winkler's death, Winkler was on home detention, charged with kidnapping and raping Rebekah Winkler on Oct. 10, 2005, the couple's second anniversary. Circuit Court Judge James Lockemy ordered Winkler's execution set for March 10, between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., but in a capital case, an appeal is automatic.
