MALAYSIA: DEATH SENTENCE AFFIRMED FOR ROTI CANAI SELLER

justices Albert, Skinner and Bing of the Kuching Court of Appeal in Malaysia affirmed the death sentence of roti canai seller Ibrahim Mohamad, rejecting his insanity plea. On September 26, 2005, a Miri High Court judge sentenced Ibrahim to a mandatory death sentence for killing Imam Ikhsan Mustapha at Masjid Al-Taqwa in Jalan Merpati, Miri on June 19, 2003.
