MALAYSIA: FIREARMS TRAFFICKING: INDON'S APPEAL AGAINST DEATH SENTENCE DEFERRED

Justices Ishak, Pillay and Daud of the Kota Kinabalu Court of Appeal in Malaysia deferred to a date yet be fixed the hearing of an appeal by Indonesian man Umar Cipto Sumarto. Sumarto was sentenced to death by the Tawau High Court on September 29, 2005, for trafficking firearms on a boat on July 27, 2001.
