MALAYSIA: MAN TO HANG FOR 2017 MURDER

The High Court in Sibu on 14 March 2019 sentenced a 35-year-old man to death after finding him guilty of committing murder.
Judge Supang Lian passed the sentence on Hii Siew Chung under Section 302 of the Penal Code, which carries the mandatory death sentence upon conviction.
Hii was found guilty of murdering Tiong Kah Hock, 30, between 3am and 7am at Jalan Ting Sing in Sungai Bidut, Sibu, on 23 Jan 2017.
