MALAYSIA: MAN'S APPEAL AGAINST DEATH SENTENCE FOR MURDER DISMISSED

the appeal by Mat Shah, 30, against his death sentence for murdering his lover’s daughter was dismissed by the Malaysian Court of Appeal. He was convicted in March 2004 by the Kuala Lumpur High Court of murdering Nik Zarina Abdullah, 3, on May 1, 2001. Aziz allegedly punched Nik Zarina in her chest and abdomen, and covered her face with a pillow.
