MALAYSIA: THREE TO HANG FOR KIDNAP

Judge Kamardin Hashim of the Malaysian High Court sentenced P. Steven, 26, P. Vicknes, 29, and R. Ravikumar, 22, to death for kidnapping a 13-year-old schoolgirl for a ransom of RM500,000 in Tampoi on April 28, 2008. The victim’s father, M. Paramasivam paid RM80,000 to the accused at a petrol station in Sungai Besi, the girl was not harmed.
