MALAYSIAN SENTENCED TO DEATH FOR MURDERING TWO JAPANESE

a 60-year-old Malaysian man was sentenced to death by a Thai court for killing two Japanese man over a business dealing. Thanyaburi provincial court judge Rungriung Lumpongchart convicted George Fernandez, who was born in Kuala Lumpur in October 1946, of murdering 53-year-old businessman Yoshio Kojima and his interpreter, Tatsuya Hisagane, 52, on March 26, 2006. The bodies of the two Japanese with gun-shot wounds were found at a construction site in Pathum Thani province near Bangkok on March 28 and Fernandez was arrested on May 5 last year.
