the Criminal Court in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates, sentenced a man to death for fatally stabbing his mother. A senior court official said the 25 year old suspect, identified as M.S.B, stabbed his mother identified, as S.A, six times in different parts of her body, in their house. The suspect easily surrendered to the police once they arrived to the crime scene and confessed that his mother never treated her children equally and that he did not regret murdering her.
He told the authorities that he had developed serious psychiatric problems due to her. The Psychiatric Department found the suspect sane and responsible for his actions. The investigations conducted by the security authorities reported that the suspect spent more than a year in his own dirty room suffering from depression. The suspect was referred for the second time to the Psychiatric Department for examination, and the department stressed in its report that the suspect is mentally fit and fully responsible for all his actions. During yesterday's hearing, the panel questioned the suspect who showed no remorse.
