MAN SENTENCED TO DEATH IN DOUBLE MURDER CASE

Panney Lal was sentenced to death by a court while his father Indrasan and mother Anari Devi were sentenced to life imprisonment for their involvement in the case of two women murdered following a dispute over a drain at Samaysthan village, Badhalganj, on March 1, 2001.
It was reported that Shyamrathi ‘had come out for some work’ when Anari Devi started abusing her following a small dispute related to a drain. Shyamrathi objected to the abuse but in the meantime, Indrasan and Panneylal came rushing out with knives in their hands. They started beating Shyamrathi's mother Mona Devi and sister Sita Devi and daughter Geeta. The beating resulted in the death of Sita Devi and her mother.
