The Criminal Court of Nouadhibo, about 465 kilometres north of Nouakchott, the Mauritanian capital, has sentenced to death three Malians -- two men and one woman -- after they were convicted of murdering Ahmed Ould Mane, a 75-year old Mauritanian national, local press reported.
Those convicted are Daouda Diakhite, M'Baye Diarra and Yaye Cisse.
In what appeared to be a ritual killing, the murder dated back to July 2011 when the victim was horribly mutilated and pieces of his body thrown onto Nouadhibou streets.
