Mohamed Hussain Assar Mohamad and Mohamad Saly Mohamad Faumi, two smugglers who were found guilty of the possession of 223.11 grams of heroin, were sentenced to death by Sri Lankan High Court Judge Tissa Ekanayake. Police said the two accused were rounded up by police on December 10, 1991 at their residence in capital Colombo with the heroin.
