More than 800 people protesting outside the Kokstad Magistrate's Court in KwaZulu-Natal were overjoyed at the court's decision not to grant bail to eight murder suspects.
SABC radio news reported that the suspects allegedly murdered an 80-year-old farmer, Tommy Haviside.The protesters, including farmers, labourers, and business people demanded that government act firmly against criminals and reinstate the death penalty.
