Mushtaq Ahmed and Jind Wadda were sentenced to death by the No. 2 Anti Terrorism Court, Pakistan, for killing a postman. The court also awarded three years rigorous imprisonment to two others accused in the crime, while one of the accused, Muhammad Akram, was killed in an encounter with police. Prosecutors alleged that on 1 April 2002 the five overpowered one Rabnawaz, a postman from Kehror Pucca, who was returning to the post office with Rs. 2,500,000 in cash and stamps. They shot him dead when he resisted their robbery.
