NAPOLITANO TELLS UN ITALY WANTS OF END DEATH PENALTY

speaking to the UN's General Assembly, Italy's Giorgio Napolitano reiterated the need to continue the international moratorium on the death penalty. This, said the President of the Republic, "is an issue that is very dear to Italy and our stand against the death penalty arises from a solid and ancient belief in the sanctity of the right to life."
