N'Djamena's criminal court sentenced five people to death, including one in absentia after convicting them for armed robbery

N'Djamena's criminal court sentenced five people to death, including one in absentia after convicting them for armed robbery. Mahamat Djidda alias Mbabe, Alfadi Bichara, Ousmane Tom and Issa Adam were given the death penalty for crimes committed on 31 July 2000. The court also imposed the death penalty in absentia on the fifth accused, Casimir Yodeymane, whose charges had been dropped in the first instance.
