"The death penalty is against human civilization," remarked Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala.
"Whatever the crime, death penalty is not a good thing at all," he said. Nepal's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister KP Sharma Oli also flayed the Saddam execution, terming it an "act against humanity".
Commenting on the execution, he said Nepal strongly advocated resolving the Middle East crisis through peaceful means.
