Nguyen Van Dung was sentenced to death by the People's Court in Haiphong for murdering two children on June 3, 2003 while looting their house in northern Vietnam. It was alleged that Dung broke into the house and stabbed to death the boys before fleeing with gold jewellery and cash worth a total of 300 dollars.
