NIGERIA: COP TO DIE BY HANGING

Justice Abubakar Talba of the Federal Capital Territory High Court sitting in Abuja, Nigeria, sentenced police corporal Obanla Julius to death by hanging for killing motorist Shagari Haruna at a police check-point in Kubwa on May 2, 2002, after he failed to stop his car for the checkpoint.
