NIGERIA: MAN TO HANG FOR HACKING FATHER TO DEATH

An Ado Ekiti High Court sentenced a Blessing Olumakinde, 47, to death for killing his father, Benson Egunlae, over the man’s estate.
Blessing was said to be unhappy with what was allotted to him when his father shared his property among his children.
The state Chief Judge, Justice Ayodeji Daramola, said the prosecution had proved its case beyond all reasonable doubts.
“The convict should be hanged by the neck until life goes out of him,” the judge said.
