NIGERIA. TWO MEN SENTENCED TO DEATH FOR MOTEL MURDER
Bayo Ajia and Olayinka Aare were sentenced to death by the Ilorin High Court, in Nigeria’s Kwara state, after being found guilty of the murder of Abdul Yekini Gobir and AbdulGaniyu Isele in an Ilorin hotel.

Bayo Ajia and Olayinka Aare were sentenced to death by the Ilorin High Court, in Nigeria’s Kwara state, after being found guilty of the murder of Abdul Yekini Gobir and AbdulGaniyu Isele in an Ilorin hotel. The two, both arch supporters of former Kwara state Governor Muhammad Lawal, were accused of mobilising two bus-loads of people suspected to be party thugs to invade a night party at Deens Motel, Ilorin, and killing Gobir and Isele upon arrival allegedly for being supporters of the former governor’s political opponents.
