Non-governmental organisations (NGOs) urged Prime Minister Chuan Leekpai to set up an independent committee comprising various neutral parties to look into the storming of the Ratchaburi hospital. The letter was signed by six organisations, among them the Asian Forum for Human Rights and Development, Friends without Borders, the Union for Civil Liberty and the Foundation for Women.
