OMAN: WOMAN, LOVER SENTENCED TO DEATH FOR HUSBAND’S MURDER

An Omani woman and her accomplice have been sentenced to death for murdering her husband, according to the Public Prosecution.
The court recently sentenced the woman, in her 40s, and her lover, another Omani, in his 50s, to death for the premeditated murder of her husband, in his 60s, in Barka province in northern Oman, according to the Society and Law Magazine published by Oman’s Public Prosecution.
On May 15, 2016, the woman conspired with her lover to get rid of her husband. The accused man bought ammunition with the help of the victim’s wife to kill her husband.
