On January 15, the Higher People's Court of southwest China's Yunnan Province established a special court to deal with the growing number of drug-related cases. The Yunnan Higher People's Court is the first to be granted the right by the Supreme People's Court in Beijing to give the death penalty to drug traffickers and dealers.
