On June 24, the U.S. Supreme Court upheld a lower court decision handing down the death sentence to Mir Aimal Kansi for killing two CIA officers in front of the CIA headquarters six years ago, dismissing Kansi's appeal against the sentence. The Urumqi Intermediate People's Court sentenced 6 drug traffickers to death. Among them, a Pakistani national was sentenced to death for selling 209g of heroin in Urumqi. After the verdicts were announced, the 6 were escorted to the execution ground and put to death.
