On November 3, the Criminal Court of Steif District imposed the death sentence on the owner of the Al-Hilal Factory and sentenced another 4 distributors to 10 years' imprisonment. The court also imposed heavy fines on 25 other suspects, accused of producing and marketing spoiled food supplies that resulted in the death of 20 citizens and injured more than 200 others.
