On September 27, Nigeria protested to Saudi Arabia over the Kingdom's execution of Nigerians, mostly convicted of possessing drugs, without informing the Nigerian Government in advance. Conferring with the Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Nigeria Anwar Abd-Rabbuh in Abuja, Nigeria's Foreign Affairs Minister of State, Dubem Onyia, also sought greater co-operation by Saudi authorities with their Nigerian counterparts, in making participation in the yearly pilgrimage Hajj less cumbersome for Nigerians.
