PAK GOVT PROCESSING ABOLITION OF DEATH SENTENCE

the Pakistan Government is considering a proposal to abolish the death penalty in the country. Adviser to the Prime Minister on Interior Rehman Malik informed the National Assembly in a written statement that the federal Law Ministry is processing the proposal. Malik also told the House that 660 Pakistanis are currently imprisoned in Indian jails, while 503 Indians were being held in Pakistani jails.
