PAKISTAN: DEATH SENTENCE AWARDED FOR MURDER

in Faisalabad, Pakistan, an Additional District and Sessions Judge sentenced Qamar resident Ghulam Muhammad Abad to death for murdering his cousin Rabia Majeed over a marriage dispute in 2008. Abad was also ordered to pay Rs 1,00,000 compensation to the legal heirs of the deceased.
