PAKISTAN: LHC SETS ASIDE DEATH SENTENCE

a division bench of the Lahore High Court (LHC) in Pakistan set aside the death sentence and acquitted Muhammad Ishfaq as the prosecution failed to prove its case. Ishfaq was sentenced by the Faisalabad trial court on March 29, 2005, and fined Rs 100,000 for murdering a man.
