PAKISTAN: MURDER CONVICT SENTENCED TO DEATH

A court awarded death sentence to a murder convict for his involvement in a murder case in Sargodha.
The judgment was announced by Additional District and Sessions Judge Tariq Jasra.
The prosecution told the court that accused Obaidullah, a resident of Chak No 114/SB, had gunned down his 40-year-old aunt Noreen Bibi over a family dispute on August 10, 2014.
The local police registered a case against the accused and presented the challan before the court. After hearing the arguments, the judge handed down death sentence to Obaidullah and imposed a fine of Rs 0.5 million on the convict.
