In a landmark verdict handed down on June 3, 2024, a murder convict was sentenced to death by the Attock judiciary for his involvement in a murder case dating back to 2021.
The convict, identified as Sajid, was found guilty of brutally killing a man amidst an ongoing feud, sending shockwaves through the Hazro community.
The incident, as detailed in the First Information Report (FIR) filed under sections 302 and 311 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), unfolded within the jurisdiction of the Hazro Police Station. Allegedly, Sajid fatally shot the victim and promptly fled the scene, leaving behind a grieving family and a community in turmoil.
Following diligent investigative work aided by both human intelligence and digital resources, law enforcement apprehended Sajid from his hideout.
Subsequently, the trial commenced, during which the prosecution presented compelling evidence against the accused, linking him directly to the crime.
