According to details, Police official Mahmood Khan shot dead Atiqur Rehman in December 2005 using an official kalashinkov, over a minor dispute at Sariab road. His case was tried by District and Session Judge Nazir Ahmad Lango. The judge awarded him capital punishment and a fine of Rupees 0.2 million.
