The Sindh High Court (SHC) on 21 March 2019 annulled the death sentence of two accused and released them in the case of firing on a police vehicle.
A two-member bench, comprising Justice Naimatullah Phulpoto and Justice KK Agha, announced the verdict on the plea and ordered the release of accused Abdur Rasheed and Nasir.
According to the police, the accused were arrested in 2016 for injuring two police officials of Aram Bhagh Police Station, Naseer and Altaf Khan, in crossfire. A special anti-terrorism court had found them guilty and awarded death sentences to the accused.
