PAKISTAN: TWO MORE DEATH ROW PRISONERS HANGED

two more death row prisoners were sent to the gallows in Lahore and Mianwali, raising the total number of executions to at least 149 since Pakistan reversed the self-imposed moratorium on the death penalty in December 2014 after the Taliban school massacre.
Shamsul Haq was executed at the Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore. He had killed a man named Ali Imran in November 1999.
Another death row convict was hanged in Mianwali’s Central Jail on double murder charges. Prisoner Fateh Muhammad had killed a man and a woman over a family dispute in 1999.
