PAKISTAN: TWO MORE PRISONERS HANGED IN MACHH AND BAHAWALPUR

Another two convicted murderers were hanged to death between April 7 and 8 in Balochistan's Machh jail and Punjab's Bahawalpur Central Jail, bringing the number of executions to 68 since their resumption in December 2014. 
On April 7, death row inmate Sikander was hanged in Bahawalpur's Central Jail. He was sentenced to death by a court martial, after being found guilty of killing a colleague in Rawalpindi in 2002.
On April 8, Ameer Hamza, who was executed in Machh jail, was awarded death sentence by an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Sibi in 2004, after being found guilty of killing a man in Harnai over a minor dispute in 1995. His mercy appeal was turned down by President Mamnoon Hussain on 30 March. Hamza is reportedly the first prisoner to be hanged in Balochistan in the last seven years.
