The court also ordered Faryad Ali and Taj Din to pay Rs 1.6 million as compensation to the legal heirs of the family. The court also issued arrest warrants of Babar Ali, one of the accused, while another accused Rehmat Ali died during the trial. According to the prosecution, Burki police registered a case against four accused in August 1999 for killing eight members of a family. The accused allegedly had an argument with Rashid alias Baoo, who was a milk shop owner. Later, they barged into the house of Rashid on Aug 2, 1999, and opened fired at his family, killing Rashid, his wife Bushra and six children.
