Pham Thanh Tuan, a 40 year old man who pretended to be a doctor of traditional medicine, was executed in southern Vietnam for fatally poisoning four people and robbing them. Tuan, was executed by firing squad in Dong Thap province after his appeal for presidential clemency was rejected. He had been sentenced to death in June 2002.
