Belarus can abolish the death penalty in its pursuit to join the Council of Europe, Prosecutor General of Belarus Grigory Vasilevich told a press conference, BelTA informs. “If we are moving towards joining the Council of Europe, we should stick to the rules of this organisation,” Vasilevich said.
