a Doha appeals court in Qatar upheld the death sentence passed against a teenager by a lower court for the brutal murder of his aunt following a quarrel over money on September 17, 2007. The accused, then 19, first tried to suffocate the woman. He returned with a friend to bury the body, but realising she was still alive he bludgeoned her with a stone and drove a car over her battered body. The case now goes to Qatar’s Supreme Court of Justice.
