Qatar said it had executed three Indians for murder, the first time the Gulf Arab state has imposed the death penalty in over three decades. The Qatari Interior Ministry said in a statement the two men and one woman were put to death in the capital Doha. It did not say how they were executed. The three had been found guilty under Islamic sharia law of the premeditated murder of a Qatari man. They had stabbed their victim to death at his home then transported his body to a remote area and driven over it to make the death look like an accident.
