Radio Free Europe reported that an Iranian citizen Mohammad Mohammadi has been sentenced to death on charges of espionage in Afghanistan. This was stated by one of the judges of the court in the Afghan province of Badghis. According to the given information, the accused was arrested near military bases belonging to the U.S. and Spain. A few days prior to the arrest, Mohammadi visited the Iranian Consulate in Herat. Iran has not yet commented on this fact.
