Reporters will get a closer look at executions and more access to death-row convicts, including a close-up look at their warm corpses, if PM's Office Minister General Thamarak Isarangura gets his way.
Thamarak said that he would allow reporters to observe every step of an execution before deciding for themselves how detailed their reports would be, but dismissed reports that he had given the green light to live broadcasts of the events.
More coverage of executions - accomplished by a bullet through the heart - would deter drug trafficking, he said.
