According to the Saudi Ministry of Interior, an Afghan national named Abdul Qayyum Shinwari was executed on August 31, 2024 in the city of Mecca.
According to a statement from the Saudi Ministry of Interior, “Abdul Qayyum Shinwari, a citizen of Afghanistan, smuggled heroin into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Security authorities apprehended him, and the investigation concluded.”
The statement indicated that Abdul Qayyum Shinwari’s execution took place on August 31 in the Mecca region.
