Omar Bin Abid Wakdani, who was executed in the Red Sea city of Jeddah, allegedly "beat his wife until she was dead following a family argument," the ministry said in a statement carried by the state SPA news agency.
It said a second execution was carried out in Qurait, in the northeast of the kingdom, where Fawzi bin Abd al-Badi was beheaded for shooting dead a fellow Saudi.
