SAUDI ARABIA: DEATH ROW MAID IN A FIGHT FOR HER LIFE

Rizana Nafeek is appealing her death sentence for the accidental death of a child that a family in Dawadmi, Saudi Arabia, employed her to mind. Nafeek was 17 at the time of the child’s death, and the confession she signed was in Arabic, a language she does not understand. She was sentenced to death in 2007.
