A Pakistani citizen on July 29, 2024 was executed in a heroine smuggling case in Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi Ministry of Interior has reported that the Pakistani drug smuggler was executed in the Makkah region.
The ministry stated that law enforcement agencies had arrested a Pakistani citizen named Zubair Khan Hazrat Jamal, and seized heroin that he was attempting to smuggle into the kingdom.
The ministry said the accused was presented before the court with all the evidence, and the court sentenced him to death after he confessed to the crime.
This initial verdict was upheld by the Appeals Court and the Supreme Court.
