SAUDI ARABIA. POLICEMAN EXECUTED FOR SEXUAL ASSAULTS

A child molester, Turki Al-Tuwairgi, who took advantage of being a uniformed security officer was executed for raping two young boys, one a Saudi and the other an expatriate. The Saudi Arabia Interior Ministry statement said he lured the boys to a remote area where he threatened them at gunpoint and then sexually assaulted them. The statement said that he had videotaped his crime which was committed while he was on duty.
He was described as a “traitor” and a “disgrace to the security forces” in the ministry statement which pointed out that many officers were sacrificing their lives in the line of duty and that Al-Tuwairgi’s punishment would serve as an example. A high court sentenced him to death last month.
