SAUDI ARABIA: SAUDI BEHEADED FOR KIDNAP, SHOOTING

a Saudi Arabian man convicted of kidnapping a child and shooting a police officer was beheaded by the sword in Riyadh, the interior ministry announced.
A statement carried by the state news agency SPA said Batal bin Faisal al-Shaghar was condemned to death for kidnapping a child at gunpoint, launching an armed attack on a service station, resisting the security forces and shooting and wounding a police officer.
