SAUDI SENTENCED TO DEATH IN EGYPT FOR DRUG TRAFFICKING

the criminal court of Ismailia, in northeast Egypt, found Saudi Arabian national Lafi Munther Farhhan, 40, guilty of attempting to traffic 25 kg of heroin into the country in his Jeep through the port of Nuweiba in the Sinai Peninsula in 2009. The court referred the ruling to the country's chief religious official, the final verdict will be pronounced on August 2.
